 We love what we do here at Harrington Woodfuel Co. Ltd and during the last 5 years, we have combined our passion for woodfuel with our love of food. As a result, we have been supplying some of Britain’s best eateries with restaurant grade charcoal and English, sustainably sourced and Woodsure certified woodfuel. 

Why use a firepit or pizza oven?

Restaurants with fire pits and pizza ovens are very popular with customers, not only for the distinctive smoky flavour that it gives food, but also for the atmosphere created by sitting around a fire pit and actually watching your food being made in front of you. Fire pits are also a great option for making al fresco dining just a little bit more enjoyable here in the UK!

Responsibly sourced woodfuel

With the growing popularity of al fresco dining and flame-grilled food, it has never been more important for pubs and restaurants to use materials that are safe and sustainable. By only providing eateries with woodfuel sourced from sustainable woodlands, we help to protect the future of our forests, and the wildlife living in them for generations to come.

Burning wet wood is actually very inefficient because so much energy is lost in warming water to steam but, when buying from us, you can be assured that your woodfuel is ‘Ready to Burn’ with the required moisture content of 20% or less.

It doesn’t stop there…

As well as providing restaurants with sustainable woodfuel, we also sell restaurant grade charcoal. Our charcoal briquettes make professional grilling at home simple. You will be less likely to burn your meat when grilling with charcoal, as well as being able to grill for longer at lower temperatures. Our charcoal is locally produced in the West Midlands, doesn’t smoke and burns for longer, making it ideal to use when cooking.

We also offer biomass firelighters which are great for starting fires in BBQ grills and wood-burning ovens. Our firelighters are environmentally friendly in that they only use renewably sourced wood and non-GMO vegetable oil. They are also extremely stable with a long shelf life.

Wholesale

During the last 10 years, we have gone from chainsaws and small petrol splitters to state-of-the-art firewood processing, drying, cleaning and packaging machinery. This enables us to produce large quantities of high-quality English, kiln dried hardwood firewood with a speedy turnaround.

Delivery

We know that running a pub or a restaurant can be very busy and stressful, so we aim to make life just that little bit easier by delivering your woodfuel directly to you.

We offer free delivery within a 30-mile radius of our Worcestershire production site, as well as nationwide delivery via our third-party courier.
